Gabrielle is a doctoral candidate in Counselling Psychology at McGill University. Gabrielle obtained her BA in Psychology from Concordia University, her MSc in Psychology from Université de Montréal, and her MA in Counselling Psychology from McGill University. Her current research is focused on gaining an understanding of how psychologists make decisions in psychotherapy and whether evidence-based practice is applied.
Gabrielle has been engaged in clinical work since the start of her studies in the field of psychology. She has practiced as a psychometrist and psychology assistant in several private clinics in Vancouver, B.C. In these roles, Gabrielle was responsible for administering, scoring, and interpreting neuropsychological tests, writing reports and providing psychoeducation to clients seeking mental health treatment, all under the supervision of practicing psychologists. She also facilitated cognitive remediation therapy to individuals with cognitive decline due to stroke or neurodegenerative disease.
Gabrielle is passionate about building strong, collaborative relationships with her clients and is keen to support others in attaining their goals. Gabrielle and her husband Maiko are the parents of two young children, Viggo and Pio … and of their dog, Milan! She enjoys baking, traveling, and going for long hikes on the weekend with her family.
