Dr. Ioana Constantinescu (she/her) is a clinical psychologist affiliated with the Order of Psychologists of Quebec (OPQ) who joined the ULTRAHealth Services psychology team in December 2021. Ioana holds a Master’s and a Doctorate Degree in Psychology from Concordia University and completed her clinical training at UQAM. Dr. Ioana has 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in different capacities. She offers services in English, French, and Romanian.
Dr. Ioana provides comprehensive psychological assessments, from preschool to CEGEP and university levels, to offer families individually tailored recommendations aimed at helping them reach their potential. She has experience in conducting psychological assessments for neurodevelopmental disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and learning disabilities (reading, writing, mathematics); as well as emotional, behavioural, and mental health issues in children and adolescents.
In addition, Dr. Ioana also provides support to parents in managing their children’s challenging behaviours, through a collaborative approach based on problem-solving and emotional coaching. She alos provides psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, executive functioning, and emotion regulation difficulties, ADHD, ASD, and social and behavioural problems. Dr. Ioana employs evidence-based therapeutic modalities (including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT)), mindfulness and socio-emotional learning in her work clients.
