Ioana Constantinescu (she/her) joined the Ultra-Health Services psychology team in December 2021. She is a candidate for the psychologist license by way of equivalence and is presently working as a clinical psychology intern under Dr Benarroch’s supervision. Ioana holds a Master’s and a Doctorate Degree in Psychology from Concordia University. Ioana has 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in different capacities. She offers services in English, French, and Romanian.
Ioana provides comprehensive psychological assessments from preschool to CEGEP and university levels in order to offer families individually tailored recommendations aimed at helping their youngsters reach their potential. She has experience in conducting psychological assessments for neurodevelopmental disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and learning disabilities (reading, writing, mathematics); as well as emotional, behavioural, and mental health issues in children, and adolescents.
In addition, Ioana also provides support to parents in managing their children’s challenging behaviours, through a collaborative approach based on problem-solving and emotional coaching. She provides psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, executive functioning, and emotion regulation difficulties, ADHD, ASD, and social and behavioural problems. Ioana is using evidence-based therapeutic modalities (including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT)), as well as mindfulness and socio-emotional learning into her work with the clients.
